How to Use Chat-Layer

One of the most important features for Streams is Chat. With Vision you can easyily display the chat messages of your viewers in your overlay.

Getting Started

1. Create a new overlay or open an existing one
2. In the left toolbar select "Chat" or click on the "+" icon and select the Chat Layer there
3. Drag the chat to your desired location
4. Add or remove Twitch channels, whose chat messages you want to display
5. Save your overlay to display the layer in overlay

Letting Your Mods Help

One of Vision's unique features is collaboration. You can grant your moderators permission

1. Go to Permissions → Roles
2. Use a prebuilt role or create a custom one. Make sure the role has the permission to view and edit overlays
3. Click on users and invite your moderator

Styling

Vision allows styling all layers, including chat. You can change the font, color, background color, and in-/out-animations. Chat Layers also have the Chat-Designer, which allow you to completly customize how the messages appear on your stream.

Change the font of your Twitch chat overlay

You change how your chat looks on stream on the chat layer itself – no need to touch OBS:

1. Open your overlay and select the chat layer
2. Pick a different font (Google Fonts are built in), size and color in the layer's style settings
3. For more control, open the Chat Designer from the chat button in the bottom bar and style names, messages and spacing separately
4. Save the overlay – the new font shows up in OBS right away

Chat-Bot
