Featured Chat for OBS

A featured chat alternative that's built into your overlay

Featured chat tools let you pick a single chat message and put it on screen – perfect for answering questions, reacting to a great comment or reading out a viewer's idea. The original featured chat service is gone, so Vision has it built in: pick messages from your live chat, queue them and show them in your overlay with your own design.

How featured chat works in Vision

1. Add a Featured Message layer to your overlay and place it where you want highlighted messages to appear – nine positions from top left to bottom right
2. Open Featured Messages in Vision. You see your live Twitch chat next to your queue
3. Click a chat message to add it to the queue. Add your own message with Add own message if you want to show a question or note of your own
4. Click a message in the queue to show it on stream. Use Next to move on and Hide to take it off screen

The message stays on screen until you hide it or show the next one, so you can take your time answering.

Design your featured messages

Featured messages use the same Design Editor as Vision's lower thirds: the viewer's name, their message and their profile picture in a card you style yourself.

• Fonts, colors, card background, shadows and rounded corners
• In and out animations like fade, slide, zoom or "Pop"
• A brand logo and Custom CSS for full control

Let your mods pick the best messages

While you play or talk, a mod can go through chat and line up the best messages for you. Give them a role with Control Featured Messages – the built-in Editor role includes it – and they use the same Featured Messages page from their own browser.
