Workflow
Set up a shared production
Design a shared overlay in Vision, add its output URL as a browser source in each OBS setup, and let authorized teammates update scores or other permitted elements from the browser.

Create the overlay
Build the layout and scenes in Vision. Save and copy the overlay output URL.

Connect each OBS instance
Add that output URL as an OBS Browser Source in every setup that needs the overlay. Check your plan's simultaneous instance limit.

Give the team the right controls
Invite editors or moderators and assign permissions. A moderator can update a score without receiving full layout access.

Rehearse together
Check every OBS view, test an update from the team, and confirm each connected instance shows the intended scene before going live.
Scenes
Same elements, a layout for every setup
Not every setup looks the same: one streamer has their facecam on the left, the other in the bottom right. Give each of them a scene in the same overlay and place the elements where they don’t cover anything. Content like scores still stays in sync everywhere.
- One scene per setupAdd a scene for each streamer, for example, and move the scoreboard, timer or chat to a free spot in that scene.
- Content once, position per sceneReference layers (“Add reference layer” in the editor) use the same layer in several scenes. When the score changes, it changes everywhere, while position, size and visibility stay separate for each scene.
- Every OBS keeps its sceneIn the overlay’s connections, set a default scene for each connected OBS under “Scene routing”. Each streamer stays on their layout, even when you switch the live scene for everyone else.
Scenes per overlay: 1 on Free, 5 on Basic and 10 on Pro.

Common questions
Does every teammate need to rebuild the overlay?
No. The production shares one Vision overlay. Add its output URL to each OBS setup, then control who can edit or operate it through Vision permissions.
Can a moderator update only a score?
Yes. Vision has a score permission so a moderator can change scores without receiving full overlay editing access.
How many OBS instances can connect?
The current comparison lists one for Free, three for Basic and unlimited for Pro. Check the live pricing table before planning a production.
