Restream to Twitch, YouTube and More at Once

Vision Restreams take one stream from your encoder and forward it to several platforms at the same time. You stream to Vision once, and Vision sends the signal to every output you've switched on. Restreams are a Pro feature and live under Restreams in the dashboard sidebar.

Updated

Set up a restream

  1. Open Restreams

In the dashboard sidebar, click Restreams, then New restream.

  2. Name it

Enter a Name and click Create restream.

  3. Add outputs

Open the restream and add an output for each platform: pick Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Facebook or Custom, check the label and paste that platform's stream key.

  4. Copy the ingest details

Copy the Server URL and Stream key from the RTMP tab of your restream.

  5. Go live

Enter both in your streaming software and start streaming. The restream page shows a live preview as soon as the signal arrives.

Ingest options

RTMP
Works with OBS, Streamlabs and most encoders. Use the Server URL and Stream key.
SRT
For encoders that support SRT, with its own URL, stream ID and passphrase.
WebRTC (Beta)
Publish via the WHIP URL from a WebRTC-capable encoder. Lowest latency, still in beta.

OBS settings

  1. Open the stream settings

In OBS, go to Settings → Stream.

  2. Choose Custom

    Set Service to Custom.

  3. Paste your Vision details

Paste the Server URL into Server and the Stream key into Stream Key.

  4. Start streaming

    Click Start Streaming in OBS.

Manage outputs and credit

Each output has a switch, so you can turn a single platform off without removing it. The other outputs keep running. Delete outputs you no longer need; a running output stops when you delete it.

Restreams use prepaid streaming credit, shared with the Streaming Server. Credit is only used while a signal is connected, per started minute. When the credit runs out, the outputs of running restreams are switched off, so top up before a long stream.

Restreams or Streaming Server?

A restream forwards the signal you send without changing it. The newer Streaming Server (beta, early access) runs OBS on a cloud GPU: it composites your scenes and Vision overlays, can switch to a backup source when your IRL connection drops, records in the cloud and multistreams too. Pick it if you stream IRL or want your scenes to run in the cloud.

Frequently asked questions

An output doesn't connect. What should I check?

Check the stream key and, for custom outputs, the server URL. Make sure the output is switched on and you have credit left. If it still fails, create a new stream key on the platform and paste it again.

The quality on one platform is poor. Why?

Vision forwards your signal as it is, so check your bitrate and upload bandwidth in OBS. A keyframe interval of 2 seconds is recommended, and some platforms have their own bitrate and resolution limits.
