Manage OBS connections
Every place that loads your overlay – an OBS browser source, a standalone browser window or the Vision editor – shows up as a connection. From the editor you can see all of them and reload, sync or block each one.

View your connections
Open your overlay
Open the overlay in the overlay editor.
Open Connections
In the editor's top bar, open the Overlay menu and choose Connections.
Check the list
You see every device that currently has this overlay open. Use the All, OBS, Editor and Browser tabs to filter the list.
Connection types
- OBS
- A browser source in OBS Studio.
- Browser
- The overlay opened in a normal browser window.
- Editor
- Someone working on the overlay in the Vision editor.
Connection name and status
Each connection shows its name and a status. For OBS connections, Vision detects whether OBS is Streaming, Recording or both (Live & Rec); otherwise the connection shows as Connected. Inactive marks a connection that isn't active right now, and Different version than editor means the device runs an older version – reload it.
To give a connection a recognizable name like „Main OBS“ or „Preview monitor“, enter a Connection Name in the Insert Overlay dialog before you add the overlay to OBS. The name helps you and your editors tell connections apart.
Live Sync
Live Sync sends changes from the editor to an OBS or browser connection in real time, so you can see them on that device right away. Click Start Live Sync on a connection to turn it on and Stop Live Sync to turn it off.
- Turn it on while you set up your overlay or want to make quick tweaks and see them immediately.
- Turn it off on your main stream connection while you're live, so unfinished changes don't show up on stream by accident.
Reload or block a connection
- Reload
- Forces the overlay to reload on that device – useful if a browser source looks stuck.
- Block
- Disconnects the device and stops it from showing your overlay. Click Unblock to allow it again.
