Control panels for your overlay

A control panel is a separate page with buttons, sliders and toggles for your overlay's interactive layers. Open it in a browser, as an OBS browser dock or on your phone and change scores, timers and visibility during your stream – without touching the editor.

Updated

Create a control panel

  1. Open your overlay

Open the overlay in the overlay editor.

  2. Open Control Panels

Click Control Panels in the toolbar at the bottom of the editor.

  3. Add a panel

Click the + button to create a new control panel and give it a name.

  4. Open or copy the link

Open the panel in a new tab or copy its link – for example to add it as a custom browser dock in OBS or to open it on your phone.

Using the panel during your stream

The panel lists the overlay's interactive layers. You can show or hide layers with Show layer and Hide layer and use the controls you've set up. If your overlay uses OBS scenes, you can also pick a scene with Select scene and switch to it.

If an overlay has no interactive layers, the panel stays empty – add a counter, timer or another interactive layer first.

Customize the controls

Turn on Edit mode to rearrange controls by drag and drop and use Add group to group them. Use Add control element to add a new control: pick a control type, the layer and the action it should run. Exit edit mode to save your changes.

Control types
Button, Slider, Toggle, Text, Number and Color.
Actions
Set to, Increase by, Decrease by, Toggle between, Reset, Randomize, Pause timer / media and Resume timer / media.
Button look
Choose a Button style and Button size so the important buttons stand out.

Let your mods help

Under Permissions → Roles in the sidebar you can create a role with Create Role and add your mods to it with Add Member. See Control Panel lets someone open your control panels, Edit Control Panel lets them create panels and change the controls.

Stream Deck

Prefer physical buttons? The Vision Stream Deck plugin (download it in Settings under StreamDeck Plugin) puts layer actions like Add, Subtract, Set, Reset, Show, Hide, Toggle, Pause and Resume on keys of your Stream Deck – and can also run automations.
